    • 250 visitors on private view evening

  • 17,000 Leaflets were distributed via Crafts Magazine
  • 13,000 Leaflets were distributed to Walford Mill's and makers' mailing lists, local Tourist Information Centres, Hotels, B&Bs, libraries, East Dorset District Council and also at Walford Mill
  • 100 posters were sent to local and national galleries, tourist attractions, tourist information centres
  • E-flyers were sent out to Walford Mill's, Dorset Visual Arts', East Dorset District Council's Arts Department's and Dorset County Council's DepARTure's email list
  • Event banners and signs were displayed around Wimborne along with 5 RAC signs

ACHIEVEMENTS

•  CREATE was received well by makers and visitors. It was seen as a well organised and enjoyable event, and as a great success.

•  27 well-known makers and 4 emerging artists took part in the event and some of them came to Walford Mill for the first time because of CREATE

•  We attracted over 1,000 visitors to Walford Mill over the weekend

•  We made £590 profit at this first event

•  Walford Mill gained three new tutors from among the makers at CREATE who will be teaching workshops at the Mill

•  The shop gained new work / makers who put their work in the shop to be sold

•  The shop took £1,452 more than the previous weekend which was the opening weekend of a new exhibition

•  We should receive much more money from the carpark for the CREATE weekend than the previous weekend (Awaiting for figures)

•  We believe that Bistro had a better weekend during CREATE too (Awaiting for figures)

•  We believe that through CREATE, we managed to take a big step forward in putting Walford Mill's name on the map regionally and nationally.
