Jane Hopkinson

Jane has been designing and making leather bags over the past twenty year and has developed her skills to such as extent that she is producing the highest quality bags.

She uses find leathers sourced from Italy to create a range of distinctive shaped forms, using printed and plain skins. She explores the leather, by altering the surface texture, and uses other techniques such as rouching, gathering, pleating and folding, piping to alter the shape or create a decorative effect. The key elements in the design process are the shape and form, and are personally made in her Sussex workshop. The range can be seen in her adjoining showroom, where a bespoke, individual colour selection can be made.
