Creators List 2009

CREATE is a contemporary craft show that will take place at Walford Mill Crafts on 8th & 9th August. This Dorset's premier contemporary craft show has quickly become one of the South West's leading craft shows. The courtyard at Walford Mill will be buzzing with atmosphere where visitors will have the opportunity to view and buy high quality craftwork from top Creators from around the UK, enjoy demonstrations and join in the workshops.

CREATE will house well-known local and national craftspeople, which will include 2 emerging artists, supporting them towards their long journey into the arts and crafts industry. All these Creators will be exhibiting their high quality, mixed media creations at this event.

This year CREATE will be putting emphasis on craftspeople demonstrating their work throughout the weekend. Visitors will have the opportunity to view and buy exceptional craftwork as well as seeing the hard work that goes in to creating them during the demonstrations. There will be demonstrations in blacksmithing, furniture making, ceramics and embroidery. Also visitors will be able to join in making a giant Kingfisher with Caroline Parrott.

Creators taking part in CREATE will include Jonathan Garratt, Susan Macarthur, Simon Thomas Pirie, Karina Gill, Tony Viney, Pepe Argo, Williams and Cleal Furniture, Caroline Hyde-Brown, Sharon McSwiney, Penny Williams, Min Fletcher-Jones, Julia Manning, Monica Boxley, Abbott Street Forge, Hannah Pinnock and Rachel Shannon (Emerging Artist).

Come and visit this prestigious show at Walford Mill Crafts in Wimborne and have the opportunity to view unique craftwork in ceramics, wood, textiles, metal, jewellery and much more as well as meeting the Creators.

Entrance fee: Adults £3, Concessions and Students £2.50, Under 14’s free.
