Mapping the Waymapping the way

This exhibition shows the initiative and expertise needed to design and work in different craft mediums inspired by maps. Every map tells a story inviting discoveries of new lands, new places to visit, holidays, public transport, identifying landmarks and establishing distances between locations. The ordering and discovering of information through maps helps us all to connect and communicate spatial information in our every day lives.

This exhibition shows the technical expertise needed to design and work in the medium of wire.
On show will be work that is designed for the market-place being individual, distinctive, whimsical, challenging and quirky in a variety of subjects, scales and sizes.

The exhibition is a celebration of Walford Mill Education Charity’s endeavors and its continuing success.  

Walford Mill Crafts has been running as a contemporary craft centre for over 26 years. The education side of Walford Mill is a registered charity and runs an interesting and diverse programme of workshops and activities each year, working in collaboration with a bank of skilled and experienced tutors, as well as running workshops within the local community.
