Christmas at The Mill

12th November - 8th of January 2017

There is no better place to start the search than Walford Mill Crafts as our popular winter selling exhibition returns.

'Christmas at The Mill' opens on Saturday, 12th November when the shop and gallery will be bursting with affordable and collectable handcrafted pieces providing a refreshing alternative to the High Street.

Browse and buy from the best in British Craft as we showcase jewellery by Dagmar Korecki, Liz Tyler and Jacqui Law, ceramics by Hilke MacIntryre, leatherwork by Gosia Weber and Japanese woodcuts by Laura Boswell.
Find unusual Christmas decorations by Rhiannon Thomas, or something from The Pop-up Pinhole Company.  Snuggle up with a cushion by Rowenna Mason or wrap up warm with Folk and Folly.

Let us help with those Christmas shopping dilemmas!

10th September - 6th November 2016

This exhibition considers work that is inspired by or created with fire.

Fire brings warmth and light and often provides compelling inspiration to makers, as can be seen in this  exhibition.

Showcasing the work of 25 makers including ceramics, glass, textiles, print and metal.

Whilst some maker's have created pieces in response to the theme of Fire, consideration is also given to those for whom the ability to work with Fire is essential in the practice of their craft.

9th July - 4th September 2016

Craft and the garden have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship for centuries, providing a continual source of inspiration for both artists and makers.

Colour, texture, shape and the ever-changing seasons unite to provide the perfect muse and evidence of this will be in abundence at Walford Mill Crafts this summer.

Field Days seeks to encourage people living in the South Dorset Ridgeway Area to explore the locality, and to research and increase their knowledge of what is beneath the ground.
