Debbie Kirby has her workshop on the balcony. She weaves in silk, a range of colourful items, including scarves, ties, bow-ties, cushions and framed pieces (see examples)

Every item is designed, dyed and hand-woven in pure silk and the same design is never repeated so each item is an original.

Kate has recently returned to Walford Mill after a break to have two daughters and now she has her workshop in the Gatehouse Studio in Walford Mill's courtyard.

She is currently focusing on extending a number of different jewellery ranges, drawing influence from American Indian and Japanese art.

Gemstones, both precious and semi precious, are also great interest to her. Both in their natural formation and their use in Jewellery embellishment.

Kate is happy to take on commission work, design one off pieces and she also does repairs.
