Since 1992, students who have enrolled in City and Guilds’ Patchwork and Quilting workshop have been exhibiting their work at Walford Mill Crafts. After a year break, Walford Mill Crafts in Wimborne welcomes back another quilting exhibition this year.

Ecology Meets Crafts
July 26th - September 7th 2008
Rivers and wetlands are beautiful places providing a range of wildlife habitats for many plants, birds and animals. Walford Mill is no exception and often has sightings of many different wildlife creatures, including otters. Walford Mill Crafts is fortunate to be situated in a unique position on an island surrounded by water on all sides, the River Allen, the Mill Stream and the Mill Pond.

Fourteen members of the Textile Forum South West have been selected to exhibit in 'TRACES'. The exhibition delivers a wealth of diverse textile practices including hand stitched and screen printed pieces, hand and machine embroidery and fashion garments exploring knitted and felting techniques.

Porcelain: Ritual & Process is originated by the Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre in South Wales where five contemporary makers worked in porcelain in very different ways with exciting varied outcomes for this special exhibition.

Wallwork - Three generations of makers
March 1st - April 13th 2008
This exciting exhibition will feature contemporary craftwork by three generations of makers. Alan Wallwork will be exhibiting his sculptural and large pots along with his daughter Amanda's work in oil and plaster and his grandson Rowan's greenwood sculptures.

Of Quiet Observation
January 12th - February 24th 2008
Solo exhibition of a major body of work developed over two years by Sheffield based artist Hilary Bower. Work is crafted in lead, wood aluminium, fabric, thread and paper, each piece of work is the result of a lifetime of noticing.
