Sweet Dreams

August 4th - September 16th 2007

Walford Mill Crafts will be hosting an exciting mixed craft exhibition highlighting how craft can be used in the home for both function and decoration.

'Sweet Dreams' exhibition will be presenting three different lifestyles from three distinct bedrooms;
a lady's boudoir, a teenager's bedroom and a child's room. This exhibition explores how makers follow popular trends in interiors and how they also create new ideas and concepts within their
specialised fields.

The lady's boudoir will be showing essentials that a lady would 'of course' need such as jewellery, scarves, handbags, sparkly shoes, an elegant chair and many other interesting accessories and
hand-built furniture.

The teenager's bedroom will be featuring colourful wall hangings, stacking shelves, punk rugs, distinctive lighting, ornaments and much more whilst the child's room will be showing unique furniture, digital prints, a rocking horse and unusual toys.

Each bedroom in 'Sweet Dreams' features mixed contemporary craftwork by local and national craftspeople. Come and see this inspiring exhibition, which will be on show in the Philip Goulden Gallery at Walford Mill Crafts from August 4th until September 16th 2007.
