How to become a "Volunteer" at Walford Mill Crafts
The Organisation
Walford Mill Crafts is a centre of excellence for contemporary craft work featuring approximately seven exhibitions a year in the gallery and high quality creations by local and national craftspeople in its shop. Walford Mill also runs an exciting educational programme throughout the year where adults and children can learn new skills and take part in a wide range of activities. The Opportunity Walford Mill Education Trust is a registered charity and we rely on volunteers. We are currently looking for friendly welcoming people to help us in the craft shop. Duties include till work, dealing with the customers, sometimes explaining about the craftwork. A normal routine for a volunteer is either working in the morning or afternoon and it could be as little as doing one day a month; it is entirely up to you how much time you have and would like to spare. If you have any spare time to come and work in the shop alongside the friendly staff we would like to hear from you. Benefits include: *15% discount on purchases in the shop and the gallery *10% discount on course fees *Newsletter *Invitations to Private Views and special events during exhibitions *Endless cups of teas and coffees Skills/Qualifications A positive outlook and a friendly demeanour. Basic number skills. Contact If you would like any other information then please do not hesitate to get in contact with our Shop Manager Hazel Evans on 01202 841400 or email us on admin@walfordmillcrafts.co.uk |
