WALFORD MILL CRAFTS
About the workshop
Enjoy yourself getting crafty during a morning workshop at Walford Mill in Wimborne on Sunday the 22nd of September.
Time spent outdoors, drawing, printing and patch-working; this creative upcycling workshop will be split into three sections. Hannah will firstly lead you through a stroll around the Walford Mill grounds, where you will gather interesting natural materials that inspire form, texture and colour. These will come in handy later!
Back at the site you will take part in relaxed drawing exercises, where imperfection is celebrated!
Inspired by your drawings, you will print on to small fabric offcuts. Natural materials such as leaves can also be used for printing. These cute patches will be hand-sewn on to your pre-loved items. This can rejuvenate an old jacket or jazz up a plain t-shirt. Bring whatever you like along, and we will work together to give it a new life!
Both drawing and craft materials will be provided; but please do come prepared with an item (or several) that you hope to renew through this upcycling workshop. Bringing your own fabric offcuts is optional; but a small cash donation would be appreciated if you are looking to use those provided on the day.
No experience is needed; everybody is encouraged to benefit from the benefits of time spent in nature, socialisation, art and relaxation.
