Alex Hennessy

Having worked for several years as a professional in charity marketing, first with RNLI and now with Dorset Wildlife Trust, I am delighted to bring my experience to the Walford Mill Education Trust board of trustees. The Mill encapsulates so many things that are important to me; creativity, our cultural and social heritage and, thanks to its grounds and position on the River Allen, nature. Walford Mill is more important now than it has ever been - in a world where the arts and craftsmanship can feel increasingly side-lined, it joyfully resists. It is filled with vibrant creations and even more vibrant, talented makers. I’m excited to work with the Mill’s dedicated board of trustees on creating strong links with Wimborne’s wonderful community and, more widely, Dorset’s incredible array of artists and makers.
