A Creative Clay Carving Workshop
7th June 2026 11-1

with

Roxy Banks

About the workshop

Join me at Walford Mill, Wimborne for a relaxed pottery carving experience.

Spend an unhurried morning creating your own hand-finished piece in a cosy, welcoming setting. You’ll work with a handmade clay pot, carving into a rich cobalt surface to reveal the natural clay beneath — creating a beautiful monochrome design.

This is a workshop centred around process rather than perfection. You’ll be gently guided throughout, with space to experiment, explore ideas, and enjoy the rhythm of making. A practice tile is included, giving you the chance to loosen up, test out different mark making techniques and find your style before moving onto your final piece.

The atmosphere is informal, social, and quietly creative – perfect whether you come alone or with friends. Your finished piece will be glazed and fired for you after the event, ready for you to collect 4-6 weeks later. Designed to serve as a mini succulent planter or to be filled with a hand poured candle, you’ll take home something considered, personal, and made by you.
