Botanical Plaster Casting
20th March 2026, 10-2.30

About the workshop

Join me at beautiful Walford Mill Crafts, in Wimborne, to learn how to create a beautiful botanical plaster cast!

Workshops are for a maximum of 4 people.

This workshop runs from 10am to approximately 2.30pm at a cost of £100.00 per person which includes all the materials required to make a beautiful botanical plaster cast.

During the workshop you will learn how to prepare the clay and frame and how to work with the plant materials. After a break for lunch ( bring a packed lunch or order from the onsite cafe - I will send a menu after booking the workshop), we’ll mix and pour the plaster and allow it to set.  You’ll then be able to remove the cast from its mould and be amazed by the delicate details revealed! Finally I will show you how to clean and finish the cast.

Walford Mill is a grade II listed mill  and unique destination in Wimborne, Dorset. With the waterside café Little Pickle at the Mill , resident artists, designers and makers working in open studios, exhibitions, pop-up studios, craft workshops for adults and children and monthly craft markets in the idyllic riverside courtyard there is something for everyone to enjoy!
