Spring Botanical 'Mini Print' Lino Printing

Come and join me to celebrate the start of the changing season, with a relaxing few hours’ carving and printing at my Spring Botanicals workshop. This 4 hour session is perfect for the flower lover; whether you are an absolute beginner or have printed before, you will come away with a set of A5 prints and maybe even a few cards if there’s time, to keep or pass on to friends. 

We will start the session with a brief overview of lino printing, and move on to some carving practice as a group to get your confidence up and shake off those fears of carving into a blank piece of lino!  We will then plan and draw/trace your design onto your block, spend some time mindfully carving using quality tools, and finally enjoy the satisfying finale of printing your work using my Woodzilla Press and the humble spoon! I will guide you through the whole process from start to finish, and if drawing is not your thing, I will have plenty of templates you can use instead of drawing from scratch. We will be carving into small A6 blocks, so if you are bringing in ideas from home, just make sure they will fit into this space!

Tea, coffee and biscuits are all complimentary, and you can head to the gorgeous Little Pickle at the Mill just across the courtyard if you want something extra special.  All materials and aprons are provided: all you just need to bring is an A6 design of your choice and a willingness to embrace the unpredictable nature of carving and printing by hand!
