Kyleigh Orlebar

Paper cut artist

Kyleigh Orlebar is an award-winning papercut artist, author and designer whose playful typographical papercut art is influenced by her background in - and love for - graphic design. She began papercutting in 2010 selling her creations on websites such as notonthehighstreet and Etsy before setting up a bricks and mortar studio in 2014 in the heart of Wimborne. Her light-hearted humour, love of colour and passion for what she does shines through in her beautiful designs as well as in her teaching.

Kyleigh has taught papercutting workshops across the country, most notably at Kirstie Allsopp’s Handmade Fair where she taught sell-out workshops to 100 at once over the course of two separate three-day weekend events. She has taught papercutting at Stylist Live, London, Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place Festival, CarFest South and The Larmer Tree Festival, Dorset. For 8 years Kyleigh has taught workshops from her little yellow shop in Wimborne town centre, but moved to join the happy family of resident makers at Walford Mill in January 2023.

Kyleigh genuinely loves people and if you come along to a workshop you’ll find the conversation and laughter flows as freely as the scalpel through paper. She wrote a book ‘Papercutting Tips and Techniques’ in 2022 which is due to be released by Crowood Press in early summer 2023. She is currently designing a template book featuring a year of papercutting templates, which will be a companion book to her tips and techniques book.

Kyleigh lives in Wimborne with her husband and three daughters, a scatty cat and an ancient dog. When she’s not walking the dog or messing with scalpels, she can be found messing about on instagram sharing tips and silliness
