WALFORD MILL CRAFTS

About the Event
As part of the Association of Contemporary Jewellers Wessex,' Autumn Jewels ‘ exhibition, local Award winning designer jeweller Liz Tyler is giving a talk on her career on 11th September from 5.30pm. It includes how Liz went on a summer school in Maine USA to learn anti-clastic raising, a hammering technique that enables her to make large yet light curvaceous pieces which are the hallmark of her  style. Liz will be showing some of the tools she uses. She made her name in London but moved to Dorset to find a better work life balance and start a family. The talk follows the twists and turns of her journey with many illustrations of challenging commissions.
It is hoped people will come early to view our exhibition which closes at 5pm then pop across the road to the cafe, enjoy a welcoming drink and enjoy the talk, which I last gave in Dorset Art Weeks in the spring.
