'I have always been fascinated by the way water captures reflections of the world above. Still waters and moving rivers reverse and subtly change the images they hold and bring light into otherwise dark
surroundings.

Over the last year or so I have tried to capture what I see using vivid contrasts and vibrant colours.
On Reflection is an exhibition of partly abstract, partly figurative paintings I have made of local scenes in and around Wimborne.

I am always walking around, looking for suitable scenes. Using the photographs I take I have tried to reimagine them in bright acrylics upon square boards of 6mm MDF. Through this exhibition, I hope you will share my enthusiasm.'

Andy will be in residence at Walford Mill between 30 March - 14th April after this he will be stewarding in Germany.
