Stitch Books and Journals Pop Up

16-20 September 2026

Pop-up studio

Annette has always had creative hobbies including fused and stained glass. Embroidery and sewing have been her lasting passion and she has never been far from needle, thread and fabric.
Since retiring from the NHS she has been able to focus on developing her book designs. She has a wonderful (and extensive!) collection of fabrics and threads which she uses to make the covers. Annette is influenced by all sorts of themes but regularly returns to nature, especially the beautiful coastlines she has lived beside including in the Middle East, Shetland, Aberdeenshire, Lincolnshire and Dorset.
Annette started doing City and Guilds Embroidery via a correspondence course whilst living in Shetland and then completed the certificate in Bournemouth when she moved to Dorset.
