Embroidery and sewing have been my passion for as long as I can remember and I've never been far from needle, thread and fabric. Since retiring from the NHS I have been able to focus on developing my book designs. I have a wonderful (and extensive!) collection of fabrics and threads which I use to make the covers. I'm influenced by all sorts of themes but regularly return to nature, especially the beautiful coastlines I've lived beside, including in the Middle East, Shetland, Aberdeenshire, Lincolnshire and of course beautiful Dorset.
