'Coastal' pop-up

13th - 17th November 2024

Pop-up studio

The pop up space between 13th and 17th November 2024 will be on the theme of ‘Coast’
Father and daughter, Amanda Hemsworth and John Britton have teamed up to produced art pieces inspired by the coastline.

Amanda Hemsworth
Living in Dorset, it's hard not to be inspired by the fabulous and ever changing coastline we have. I've been collecting driftwood from the beaches for a number of years now and creating scenes and pictures from what I’ve gathered. I get a lot of satisfaction from making something discarded by the sea into a piece of art.
I’ve also made jewellery for a number of years, with a focus on coastal-inspired pieces.
More recently I have taken my love of the coastline to produce screen-prints here at Walford Mill.

John Britton
My detailed knowledge of Poole Harbour and the Isle of Purbeck acquired over many years has enabled me to represent the coastline and landscape in my own particular style.
I usually work in a wide range of media and am known for my distinctive use of colour, which is recognisable.
I have exhibited widely and successfully in the Dorset area for many years.
