Jan has lived near the New Forest all of her life and belongs to several local art groups with which she exhibits regularly.

She paints every week with a group in the New Forest and creates stained glass art in her home studio. Jan takes part in Hampshire Open Studios every August and is also a member of the artisan group 'The Creatives' which exhibits in Dorset Art week and other venues in the area.

She particularly likes to paint in Acrylics, but also uses other mediums, and has won several awards and accolades over the years at exhibitions.

Jan has completed courses in Stained Glass and particularly likes to work with the Tiffany Method and with Stained Glass and Mirror Mosaics. The magic of glass, the colours and texture, fascinate her and she is enthralled by the luminosity and clarity of colour.

She enjoys depicting animals and birds and reflecting on the scenery and natural world around her and has been accepted by "New Forest Marque Inspired" which is a local organisation open to people who create authentic and original art or crafts within the New Forest.
