After a background in Fine Art and teaching I took a degree in Fashion and Textiles which led me to work in many different media.
The joy of using different media is to be able to express yourself in different ways appropriate to the subject.
My working practise is usually making studies outside (Dorset is very inspiring) whereupon I will abstract the notion of the natural world more so.
My work includes oils, screen print, mono prints, collages in silk and machine needle felting as well as pastels and mixed media.
I like to use sustainable fabrics and non toxic materials where needed which I guess is better for all of us.
