Little Pickle at the Mill riverside café opens at Walford Mill
The trustees of Wimborne’s historic Walford Mill have announced that its courtyard café will reopen to the public as Little Pickle at The Mill at 11am on Wednesday May 3. Andrew Spong and Karen Merryweather Spong who established their Little Pickle Deli Café in Boscombe more than 11 years ago, have acquired the riverside café facilities that have previously proved so popular with visitors and residents alike. Wimborne’s mayor Carol Butter and Town Crier Chris Brown are scheduled to be in attendance for the opening.
Initially open 10am – 4pm Wednesday to Sunday in line with the Mill’s public access, Karen and Andrew have plans for the café playing an integrated role in the local community and commented:
“We are super excited to be opening the doors of Little Pickle at the Mill. The craft centre is in a beautiful part of Dorset, with already lots to offer visitors. We want to make sure that people come back time and time again. We aim to serve as much homemade and locally sourced food as we can and are looking forward to getting started.”
